Furano is situated in the centre of Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. It is well known for its rural and picturesque landscape and is a popular dual season resort. Furano is acclaimed in the summer for its lavender fields, poppies, lilies and sunflowers. Three quarters of its 2 million annual visitors come in summer. In winter it benefits from up to 11 metres of snow fall and hosts several World Cup ski and snowboarding events. Furano is a family friendly resort and benefits from being only 2 hours by car/bus from Sapporo’s New Chitose airport.

Several new residential and holiday accommodation projects are underway. With international visitation increasing 50% annually in recent years, Furano is increasingly viewed as a smart investment opportunity and alternative to Hokkaido’s largest resort, Niseko.
