Praz-sur-Arly is located in the Haute-Savoie department in the French Alps and it is hugely accessible to the ski crowd as it is only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Geneva airport by car. The resort is both a winter and summer destination and the village is authentic, charming and very family friendly. The wonderful views of Mont Blanc dominate the natural scenery, as does the Arly River. The village grew mainly because of the sunny, south facing slopes which attracted arable farmers to the area and today the region is still famous for its array of cheeses. It was the first village to give children ski lessons as part of their education and it is also renowned for its brave young men slaying a dragon which perished in the Arly River!

Praz-sur-Arly has been fully independent of its neighbour Megève since 1907. It is also part of the Espace Diamant Ski Area with 185km of ski slopes and the gentle valley terrain offers 120km of cross-country skiing.

Summer in the area is popular with MTB bikers as the scenery is breathtaking and there are a whopping 375km of MTB trails. Hikers also flock to the abundant walking trails offering incredible views of the surrounding mountain chains. Moreover, Praz-sur-Arly has recently become well known as “THE” local hub for hot air ballooning in the region. And in July 2023 the resort opened a fantastic new leisure park including a supervised outdoor swimming lake, and aqua park with inflatables and a tree climbing course. Investment into the resort is clear to see, making it an attractive village in which to invest in a property.
