Discover Nendaz
A well developed and popular family resort situated right in the middle of the 4 Valleys ski area at a height of 1400 metres with easy access to both Verbier in the west and Veysonnaz/Thyon/Les Collons in the east. Property prices are lower than Verbier.
Nendaz is a busy resort on a shelf overlooking the Rhone valley and the Vaudois and Bernese Alps to the North. It is made up of the old village of Basse Nendaz and the more recently built Haute Nendaz above, with a mixture of chalets and apartment buildings, shops, restaurants and bars. Popular with renters and buyers as a more affordable alternative to its neighbour Verbier, its central location within the 4 Valleys and recent investment in snow-making machines makes it ideal as a base for day trips to the other resorts. The resort is popular with families and offers much to do for all ages in both summer and winter.

Nendaz sits in the middle of the 4 Valleys ski area and caters to all levels of skiing ability. The nursery slopes above the village at 2200 metres around the Tracouet lake are a great meeting point for lunch. More advanced skiers and boarders can enjoy some challenging runs down to Siviez and the links with Verbier, via the famous Tortin bowl, and Veysonnaz/Thyon/Les Collons. For non downhill skiers there are 12km of cross country trails, 40km of snow show walks and the ice rink, as well as the luxury Spa Des Bisses at the Hotel 4 Vallees.
Nendaz is equally popular in the summer with a plethora of activities from which to choose. Hikers can take advantage of the 250km of walking trails from the challenging to the easy. The area is famous for its Bisses, medieval irrigation channels that were dug to channel glacial meltwater to the plains and vineyards of the Rhone valley. Footpaths follow the water’s journey through the fields and woods. Other activities include swimming, tennis and paragliding from the lake of Tracouet above the village. Golfers can choose from courses in Sion or across the valley in Crans-Montana.
